Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2010!
Welcome to the 2009-2010 edition of Scooter's World. This is my first attempt at designing the site on my own and to be honest, it wasn't easy, but it was a great challenge. I hope to get better at this as time goes by and to be more regular in my updates of the site. I have to say thank you to Doug Anderson, the official webmaster of the site for these past few years. I can't thank him enough for all his patience.
Scooter's World has not been updated in the past two years. Life happens and along with it, we have our ups and downs. Unfortunately, I was on a down for quite some time as I worked through Mom's passing and trying to make sense of it all. I am healing now and I am back up and running. (Well, not really running. Those of you who know me well, know that "running" really isn't anything I would regularly do...or irregularly for that matter...)
I hope this holiday season finds each and every one of you healthy and happy. For those of you who may be struggling this holiday season, I hope that you find the strength to carry you through, knowing that there are many people willing to lend a helping hand and much support. Barbara Bush said it best. "To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there." Remember, a family isn't something you're just born into, it's something you grow into.
The past two years have come and gone at a hare's pace. It seems like Christmas 2007 was just yesterday. It is almost as though the older I get the quicker the days go by. I sometimes wish I had the power to slow the clock, but then I also remember a time in my life when I wished I could speed things along. Life can sometimes be quite fickle, can't it?
As you can see, the site has a new look to it. It is not because anything was wrong with the old site. It is because I am on a learning curve. Coding the site by hand has limited me to the skills I have learned. As I move forward, I hope to improve my skills and therefore improve the site. This year I have included a Travel Log and five galleries of pictures I have taken over the past two years. (Click first on the Gallery button, then click the specific gallery from there.) I hope you find something of interest in this years edition.
My pet project - The Jeffrey Scott Collection - has been on hold for quite some time now. You can't force "art" and so I have decided to slow the pace. I have many works in progress, but they are not yet ready to view, so if you visit the site, you'll see nothing new at this time.
As we move into 2010, may your New Year be filled with much love and happiness. May you find something unique each and every day of the year. Remember, hope is often in the smallest of details. Continue to search for these details as they will enrich your life each and every day. Let 2010 be a year of change for you. In order to see the change, you must first be the change.
Look to the past with fondness, the future with anticipation, but most importantly, live today with excitement.
With much love in friendship,
Scott
SPECIAL NOTE: The photos contained within this sight are best viewed in high resolution. If you see something you like and it seems a bit out of focus (much like my life sometimes), simply change the resolution of your computer monitor to a higher resolution. I must also apologize in advance for any typographical or grammatical errors as I don't have anyone checking these things for me. (Even more important since some of this was typed one handed.)
